SPLASH Magazine wishes to change the way entertainment news is delivered in the Hampton Roads area. Helping music lovers in the community find local bands and where they are playing,  services in your local area, things to do and places to stay.
 
SPLASH Magazine is the most well known publication for the entertainment industry in Hampton Roads and is delivered monthly FREE to local businesses for their customers reading enjoyment. As we build on our dramatic success with our written Magazine we have begun to reshape our website to deliver even more focus to how great Hampton Roads can be. Photographer

Responsibilities:

• Maintain exceptional standards of quality through accurate and timely fulfillment of all photography assignments.
• Work collaboratively with sales to recommend campaigns or images necessary.
• Cultivate positive business relationships with clients and advertising, graphic design and technical teams. Act as client contact for any questions and other issues local customers may have.
• Troubleshoot any ad creative issues and recommend solutions.
• Enjoy working with the public and encouraging more fun while acquiring images.
• Constantly strives for simplicity and usability.
• Is audacious, fun, and easy to work with.

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience in photography and customer service.
• Email access for delivery of schedules and requests.
• Extremely proactive and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and in a timely manner.
• Excellent organizational abilities, and verbal and written communication skills, ability to meet ad deadlines for photographs taken at events.
• Enjoy working independently and in a collaborative team environment. 

Advertising Sales Representative - Hampton Roads

Responsibilities:

• Proactively prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain a regional territory account list.
• Create innovative and turn-key sales proposals.
• Provide Marketing listings of established territory and outline strategy to meet sales goals.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of online advertising or integrated sales experience a must.
• Community contacts and relationships within the entertainment industry in Hampton Roads, interactive agencies and/or business owners.
• Understanding of both the print and online advertising marketplace.
• Must be creative, smart, and passionate, as well as a problem solver and a team player.
• Entrepreneurial spirit driven to achieve sales goals.
• Willingness to travel locally within a 50-100 mile radius.
• Has exceptional instincts for "what works," empathy for the needs of our advertisers, and a mania for chasing down details and leaving nothing to chance.
• Likes to push the boundaries, twist accepted paradigms, and dig deep for the gems hidden inside outlandish ideas.
• Constantly strives for simplicity and usability.
• Is audacious, fun, and easy to work with.
• Good written communication skills, Experience with Excel and preparation of standard sales reports as need or requested.
